Kyle Hastings May Be Out As Mayor In Orland Hills!!!

Sources tell the Insider that Kyle Hastings, the Mayor of Orland Hills, and one of the Proviso Administrators on the way out the door, may also be seeing his last days as Mayor. Sources tell the Insider that Hastings is always embroiled in some major controversy down in the south suburb. Hastings, who also serves as liquor commissioner, was sued after he awarded a late night liquor license to the Fire & Ice Bar. Shortly after, an off duty cop got drunk and killed someone in a DUI. Hastings also allowed members of his board of trustees to use tax payer paid credit cards. Now, Mr. Hastings will be facing a serious challenge for his seat in April 2009.

Is it time to toss Kyle Hastings out as a Mayor as well?

I am amazed that you can hold down a job as an administrator at Proviso and be MAyor of another town and the liquaor commisioner! When does he have time to do any of the jobs fully? When does he sleep? I know he is not running ORland the way he has run PRoviso. HIs position has no purpose! HOw much money could the district have saved if he had been let go years ago? When will they start trimming the other fat?

As usual the proviso's school board and administrators have screwed the community again.

Orland Hills is a beautiful community with lots of businesses to offset the tax base for those residents there. My question is why is he here mooching off of the residents of Proviso Township? What can he even offer to the township? What has he done to further improve Proviso? Is this another patronage hire?

Let he who is without sin among you, cast the first stone.

He still needs to get out of here.

Great website but there are a few things wrong.

First of all, none of you have a clue about what you are talking about. Find the actual facts to things before you go and write about it.

Other than that, good forum.
