Annual Bellwood Picnic Set For Saturday, August 2, 2008
The Annual Bellwood Picnic is set to take place on Saturday, August 2, 2008. The picnic will be held in the park across from the Village Hall which is located at 3200Washington Blvd, Bellwood, Illinois. Come on out and enjoy the food, fun and games.

It's too bad this event didn't have better planning. There were three village employees there for everyone that was working.
The roast corn booth is a good example. Two women working their buns off, while others stood around. The line was half a block long and took over 15 minutes. I saw no reason a second team couldn't have been set up to serve corn.
Looks like another event sliding into the toilet, due to poor planning.
I heard that Mayor Pasquale invited a bunch of African-American kids from a local church to the picnic to perform, and when the kids got there with the parents, friends and family, he didn't let them perform. Shame on Mayor Pasquale. Shame. Shame.
